Character of the Christian Life and Home

        Wives,
        • submit to your own husband, as is fitting in the Lord (Colossians 3:18)
        • submit to your own husband, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. (Ephesians 5:22-24)
        • be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives. (1 Peter 3:1)
        • To the woman He said:
          ``I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception;
          In pain you shall bring forth children;
Your desire shall be for your husband,
And he shall rule over you.'' (Genesis 3:16)
        Husbands,
        • love your wives and do not be bitter toward them. (Colossians 3:19)
        • love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her (Ephesians 5:25)
        • dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered. (1 Peter 3:7)

Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband (1 Corinthians 7:3)

        Children,
        • obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord. (Colossians 3:20)
        • obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. (Ephesians 6:1)

        Fathers,
do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged. (Colossians 3:21)

        Bondservants,
        • obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God. And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality. (Colossians 3:22-25) For there is no partiality with God. (Romans 2:11)
Then Peter opened his mouth and said: ``In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.'' (Acts 10:34)

For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe. (Deuteronomy 10:17)

But the Lord said to Samuel, ``Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. (1 Samuel 17:7)

And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear (1 Peter 1:17)
        • be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free. (Ephesians 6:5-8) For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad (2 Corinthians 5:10) because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead. (Acts 17:31) For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgement to the Son. (John 5:22)
``I was watching in the night visions,
And behold, One like the Son of Man,
Coming with the clouds of heaven!
He came to the Ancient of Days,
And they brought Him near before Him.
Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom,
That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
          Which shall not pass away,
          And His kingdom the one
Which shall not be destroyed.'' (Daniel 7:13-14)
        • Exhort bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back, not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things. (Titus 2:9-10)
        • be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh. (1 Peter 2:18)

        Masters,
        • give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven. (Colossians 4:1)
        • do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him. (Ephesians 6:9)
You shall not rule over him with rigor, but you shall fear your God (Leviticus 25:43)

Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving [pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17)].

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart (Luke 18:1)

Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:15-16)

Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. (Matthew 10:16)

Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt [salt is good, but if salt loses its flavor, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace with one another. (Mark 9:50)], that you may know how you ought to answer each one. (Colossians 4:2, 5-6) Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. (Ephesians 4:29)

neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. (Ephesians 5:4)
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Colossians 3:16-17)
