AG Marriage Encounter opens brand new locale

Greg and D'awn (Elder) Ledgerwood, Sidney, Montana, are hosting
an AG Marriage Encounter weekend in Dickinson, North Dakota,
March 19-21. Mark and Becky Rhoades, national admin couple for
AGME, confirm that space is limited. "Initial plans for the new

**DEPARTMENT TO LAUNCH "FOR EVERY WOMAN" SITE

The national Women's Department of the Assemblies of God will launch
a new membership-based Web site this spring called, "For Every
Woman" at http://women.ag.org. The goal of the site is to equip
women to be ministers to other women in their lives, according to
Darla Knoth, managing editor for the national Women's Department.

The site will offer three levels: "For Every Woman," "Inspiring
Every Woman" and "Equipping Every Woman." The first will provide
general information, resources and advice for Christian women. The
second will have ministry ideas, including free tips and help for
women's ministries in local churches such as small group and big
event ideas. The third level will be the membership portion of the
site that incorporates leadership development units in a variety of
topics on how to minister to other women.

The different units will be divided into five categories: Growing My
Heart, Developing My Skills, Ministering to Women, Establishing
Ministry, and Planning and Leading Events. The interactive units are
comprised of teaching notes, PowerPoints, videos and assessments.

The annual membership fee for individuals or churches is $29. A
quantity discount may be offered, Knoth says.

The content on the first two levels will change weekly, and new
units on level three will be added every three weeks. The national
Women's Department develops all content on the site.

The notes will be downloadable for women to teach the material to
others, such as a Bible study group. Visit http://women.ag.org to
sign up for the Every Woman e-letter featuring announcements
concerning the new site.

**WOMEN FOCUS MINISTRY WORK ON EL SALVADOR

Assemblies of God women focused on ministry to the Liceo Cristiano
"Reverend Juan Bueno" school, in San José El Naranjo community of
Ahuachapáu, El Salvador, during an October trip to the country.

AG District Women's Directors Linda Webb (Potomac), Linda
Stamps-Dissmore (Oklahoma) and Cindy Fleig (Indiana) first visited
the school in 2008, and after seeing the needs, went home to raise
funds. The three directors returned, along with national Women's
Director Arlene Allen and 20 women from the Potomac District, in
October. Kenton and Elsie Moody, missionaries to El Salvador, hosted
the women who worked at the school.

The three districts raised funds to build a teachers' dorm and
administrative office. As the women arrived, they furnished the new
dorm and office. Women also painted all buildings on campus inside
and outside, and refurnished newly painted classrooms with students'
and teachers' desks. Additionally, workers used more than 100 sticks
of dynamite to clear an area to build a new full-size basketball
court for the school.

At the end of the week, the school held an assembly and dedication
service, sponsored by the Potomac District. The school had been
established under the direction of then missionary to El Salvador
John Bueno, now executive director of AG World Missions. Following
the assembly, Convoy of Hope distributed food to families of the
school's 257 students.

In 2008, women from U.S. churches gave in excess of $11 million to
AG World and U.S. Missions, and Compassion Ministries.
