Step 1:
Understand that God loves you.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. [John 3:16]
Step 2:
Understand that sin separates you and God.
For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. [Roman 3:23]
Step 3:
Understand that Jesus Christ paid for your sin.
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through me. [John 14:6]
Step 4:
Understand that you must ask Jesus Christ into your life.
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name. [John 1:12]
