**Former General Treasurer Raymond Hudson with the Lord

Rev. Raymond H. Hudson, 91, went to be with the Lord March 30,
2010. He served the General Council of the Assemblies of God as
general treasurer from 1973-88. Services will be Thursday,
April 1 at 10 a.m., Chapel of Hope, 3321 N. Del Paso, Hobbs,
New Mexico.


**First AG music editor, Edwin Anderson, passes

Rev. Edwin ³Eddy² Anderson, 95, passed away Sunday, March 28,
2010. Interview with General Superintendent Ralph M. Riggs led
to Anderson being named the first music editor for the
Assemblies of God. Funeral services under direction of
Klingner-Cope, Springfield, Missouri. Viewing at Maranatha
Chapel, Thursday, April 1 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Service to
be at Maranatha Chapel, 10 a.m. Friday, April 2.

**FORMER GENERAL TREASURER RAYMOND HUDSON WITH THE LORD

The Rev. Raymond H. Hudson, 91, went to be with the Lord in the
early morning hours of March 30, 2010.  He served the General
Council of the Assemblies of God as general treasurer from 1973-88.

Brother Hudson began his full-time ministry in 1936 and pastored
several churches in Texas and New Mexico before being elected
superintendent of the New Mexico District, a position he held for 13
years.

He came to the national office in 1969 to head the church's
Stewardship Department and later was name church loan officer. He
set up the Church Builders Plan which provided low-cost debt
retirement loans to churches.

He was elected general treasurer at the General Council in 1973. In
this office, he headed up the Division of the Treasury and its
various departments. He retired from this office in 1988 and he and
his wife, Marie, moved back to New Mexico.

General Superintendent George O. Wood states, "Brother Hudson was
always loyal to the truth of God's Word, sensitive to the moving of
the Holy Spirit, and responsive to the concerns and needs of others.
We thank God for his many years of ministry and service to this
Fellowship."

His wife survives him.

Services for Brother Hudson will be Thursday, April 1 at 10 a.m. at
the Chapel of Hope, 3321 N. Del Paso, Hobbs, New Mexico.

**FIRST AG MUSIC EDITOR, EDWIN ANDERSON, PASSES

Rev. Edwin ³Eddy² Anderson, 95, went to his eternal reward Sunday, March
28, 2010. Anderson was born December 11, 1914, in Providence, Rhode
Island, to Swedish immigrants, Frank Oskar and Judith Emelia
Anderson.

In 1933, he attended Central Bible Institute and was assistant
pastor at Central Assembly. Upon graduation in 1936 from Central
Bible Institute, he became assistant pastor in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and
received his license to preach from the Oklahoma District of the
Assemblies of God. He was later ordained in Springfield,
Massachusetts.

Over the next few years he pastored various churches in Maine, Rhode
Island, Colorado and Ohio. He was also elected youth director for
the six New England states and started several different radio
programs that reached many northern states and Canada.

Anderson lost his first wife, Irma Kleinfeld Anderson in 1953,
leaving him with two sons, Eddy, Jr., and Richard. He married Mary
Martha Reimers of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1956, and on their
honeymoon, which included Springfield, Missouri, he was interviewed
by General Superintendent Ralph Riggs and Assistant Superintendent
Thomas Zimmerman. As a result of that interview, he became the first
music editor for the Assemblies of God. He organized national music
conferences and helped start ³Talent Search,¹ which later became
³Fine Arts.²

Anderson entered the field of ³music evangelism² in 1968. He would
go on to pastor churches in New Jersey, Georgia and Virginia.

In 1995, Anderson taught in the Latvian Bible College in Jelgava,
Latvia. Later, when he had opportunity, he would sing and minister
to the residents at Maranatha Village.

He is survived by his son, Dr. Edwin P. Anderson, Jr., and wife
Margaret of New Brighton, Minnesota; daughter, Judith Melody Hylton
and husband Brent of Springfield, Missouri; daughters, Carole
Anderson Brubaker and Kristen Anderson of Fairfax, Virginia; and six
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Irma, and
his second wife, Mary Martha, as well as three brothers, and his
son, Dr. Richard Anderson.

Funeral services will be held under the direction of Klingner-Cope,
Springfield, Missouri. Viewing will be at Maranatha Chapel on
Thursday evening, April 1 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The service will be
held at Maranatha Chapel, 10 a.m. Friday, April 2. Maranatha Chapel
is located at 233 E. Norton Rd. The committal service will be at
Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine.
